Group 2 Motorsports, with the OMP line, can offer just about anything in terms of equipment that the racer needs. We supplement this product line with the products listed below. We offer in-house fabrication for roll cages, wiring, and other modifications. We also rebuild Alfa Romeo LSD units, and transmission rebuilds.
OSGIKEN - Legendary Durability and Performance
OSGIKEN has an application list that includes many of the European cars popular in Japan: BMW, 105/115 Alfa Romeos, Lotus Elise/Exige, M.B., and many Japanese cars. Their product line extends from the “Datsuns” to the current Porsche Cayman. Check their website for applications available. Group 2 is looking at developing with them LSDs and clutches for the Alfa transaxle cars.

Group 2 Motorsports carries the full OMP (www.ompamerica.com) product line: seats, wheels, clothing, harnesses, and accessories. OMP Racing is this year celebrating its 35th anniversary. Located in Genova, Italy, OMP is an international leader in the following categories: racing (safety equipment), tuning (specialty equipment for road cars), and karting (accessories and equipment). There are over 4500 products in the OMP catalogs. For over 10 years, Michael Schumacher wore OMP fire retardant suits; also worn by Senna, Hill, Hakkinen, Berger, Makinen, Sainz, and numerous others.

We offer body kits for the Milanos, suspension systems for all 105/115 and transaxle cars, harness bars, seats & adaptors, rebuilt gear boxes and differentials, Dedion tube modifications (need some rear camber), limited slip refurbishment, and accessories.
PERFORMANCE ALLOY WHEELS – SUPERLITE GTR RACE WHEELS
The Superlite GTR is a race wheel – a modified version of the comparable road wheel. Spokes are machined out on the back side, and hub is machined to a thinner spec. Weight of 14x6, for examples, is between 11 and 12 pounds, depending on offset. Classic design, light weight, Australian manufactured since 1984; only the best materials are used. Primary CC601 aluminum alloy, heat treated for maximum strength and durability – essential for competition purposes. Each wheel is manufactured to AS 1638 engineering specifications, and Superlite is accredited with ISO 9002 quality assurance.

Tuning for maximum performance used to be the exclusive domain of experts with dynos. While there is no substitute for knowledge and experience, a new wave of digital tuning tools are making it possible to precisely tune any engine without long and expensive dyno sessions. The key is to measure and record the critical metrics- air/fuel ratio, cylinder head temperature, injector duty cycle, etc., make one change at time, and then repeat the process.
Turner Motorsport
Group 2 Motorsports has established a relationship with Turner Motorsport. We find their product and support to be excellent. They are very active in Grand Am Cup, Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) and BMW CCA Club Racing. They test many of their performance parts on the race track before they are sold to customers, and provide racing equipment and knowledge to teams running BMWs in SCCA Club Racing, SCCA Pro Racing, and BMW CCA Club Racing.
